Over 80% of TerraNova's operations are funded through the processing and sales of recovered materials.

TerraNova also receives contract funding from the Christchurch City Council for specific non-revenue generating services such as waste exchange, education, research, and sustainable development. This funding is sourced from the CCC Waste Minimisation Fund.
